"Making Memories" implies cherishing and collecting the beauty and wisdom of time. The process of education is the process of accumulating memories through time. The most beautiful education should be "cooperative efforts" between the family and kindergarten, and the members of the Parent-Teacher Association are an important link between the kindergarten and the family. In order to further promote the work of the PTA, fully express its role of bridge, link, participation and supervision, form a joint force of home education, and help children's healthy growth, on October 17,2024 the PTA meeting of Hongjingyuan Campus opened slowly like a colorful picture scroll.
The PTA members dressed in national-style costumes and gracefully came to Crown Dream to sign in. It was as if they had come back from the ancient times, adding a touch of charm to the meeting. In this unique way, they express their love for traditional culture and their attention to this meeting.
With the tender voice of our young host's , the PTA meeting activities officially started. In the new semester, we welcomed the addition of some new members, their arrival injected vitality into the PTA meeting.
An appointment letter is a symbol of responsibility. It signifies an additional role and also means taking on more duties in the future. Principal Eva extended a warm welcome to the PTA members and together with Principal Canny issued the letters of appointment. These letters represent a deep friendship based on trust and the strong, family-like teamwork.
Principal Eva compared the growth of the Hongjingyuan campus to a tree, from its early sprouting years to becoming lush, strong, and towering. This growth reflects the dedication and effort of many educators and parents over the years. With "Making Memories" and "Researching Crown Dream", Principal Eva invited all the PTA members to experience the two great achievements by Crown Dream education - the Crown Dream published CAN DO theme exploration series books, and the special courses of Crown Dream poetry and painting.
Ink, with the calmness of "ink" and the fluidity of "water", gives people a sense of grandeur and profound artisitic feeling. Poetry, with it’s simplicity of "words" and its lasting "meaning", offers a seamless and lingering beauty. Teacher Yiyi uses ink painting as a medium, poetry as material, and gamification as a concept to lead everyone on an "ink poetry" journey of Crown Dream. Through personal experience, the PTA members deeply appreciated the unique charm of the poetry and painting course, and also better understood the happiness and growth gained by Gumi in the course.
Children’s meals are an important part of the overall work at the kindergarten. How are little Gumi’s meal at the kindergarten? It’s better to experience it firsthand than just hear about it. The parent committee members joined the children in their classrooms to enjoy a warm mealtime together. After the meal, the parents organized a post-meal reading activity. The children gathered around the parents, enjoying the fun of reading.
In ancient times, the imperial kitchen was where food was prepared for the emperor. So, what is the kitchen like for the children at Crown Dream? Principal Canny and Dr. May took everyone on a tour of the kitchen. As they entered, they saw a clean and bright workspace, with shiny countertops and spotless floors, giving a sense of reassurance. The food storage area was well-organized, with each type of food having its own shelf life, and a sample refrigerator carefully storing every ingredient used by the teachers and students. Throughout the tour, the committee members experienced firsthand the kindergarten’s strong emphasis on food safety and health for the children, making everyone feel more at ease and confident.
Afterwards, the parent committee members carefully filled out feedback forms and had in-depth discussions with the principal on-site. Additionally, they highly praised the delicious and well-presented meals and provided valuable opinions and suggestions
The convening of the PTA has not only narrowed the distance between family and kindergarten, but also improved parents' understanding of the development and education culture of our kindergarten. Let's continue to work together to create an extraordinary future for Gumi！
