There are two kinds of education in the world. One is to teach us how to make a living, another teaches us how to live our lives. I hope our Gumi will not only learn skills of livelihood, but also know how to Live their lives to the fullest.

It’s been a month since the commencement of the semester, and we ushered in our first Class Birthday Party.

所以，在开学一个月后，我们迎来了***个班级生日会。

Having made cakes and cookies on their own, children’s days are full of happiness.

As a school, we not only encourage children to explore farther, but also want them to pay attention to the tiny details in their lives and appreciate the beauty around them.

作为学校，我们不仅想要让他们探寻远方；也希望孩子们能是不是将视线收回，关注身边点滴，懂得生活的美好。

After children finishing a day at school, their parents are very dedicated and attentive to their children’s learning and growth. On 15th April, Xiyuan campus held its first Parent School of this semester, with principal Eva from Hongjingyuan campus being the lecturer and the topic being Positive Discipline---kindness and firmness. During a game called ‘five cents and a dollar’, parents were in pursuit of a sense of belonging and value. A list about the process of childrearing was very thought-provoking. ‘The brain in the palm of the hand’ shared by Eva has made parents realize the importance of emotions and self-care. After evaluating different parenting styles, we gained a fresh understanding of what the kindness and firmness are. Let’s become firm and kind educators together!

在宝贝们离开学校结束***的知识获取之后，我们的家长们也不含糊。4月15日冠萃熙园 举办了本学期***次家长学校，由鸿景园教学园长Eva担任沙龙的讲师，主题为美国的正面管教——和善与坚定。在“五毛一块”的热身游戏中，家长们更多是在追寻归属感与价值感。在罗列养育孩子过程中的两列清单给大家带来了更多的思考。Eva园长分享的“手掌大脑”更是让家长们认识到情绪开关和学会照顾好自己的重要性。反思不同家庭教育的风格，我们对和善与坚定有了新定义和新理解。满满的教育干货收获，让我们一起做一个和善而坚定，不惩罚、不娇纵的养育者！

Who says reading is boring? Gumi has hundreds of ways to make it interesting. So lucky are we that our educators and parents are such like-minded, and parents willingly joined our ‘mystery reader’, who were hiding behind the curtain and reading books with colourful tones. Curious children listened attentively to the stories and the opening of the mystery box highlighted the event.

谁说读书时枯燥乏味的？只要愿意，冠萃有一百种让它变得妙趣横生的方式。真幸运我们有一群气味相投的家长，愿意成为我们的“神秘读者”。用心的家长躲在幕后为孩子们有声有色地读故事；好奇的孩子们津津有味地听着故事。神秘盒子打开时候是***激动人心的时刻。

In the EYFS curriculum, SEL is a crucial part among the seven domains. In Xiyuan campus, we will hold SEL activities once a month to help children learn to express and manage their emotions. In such role-play and crafting activities, children will understand that expressing emotions is a need and those activities will help them learn how to release and adjust their emotions. We are trying to make the intangible emotions visible by crafting and encouraging SEL learning throughout the whole process of children’s learning.

在EYFS课程体系里，SEL（Social and Emotional Learning 社会和情绪的学习）是七大领域中至关重要的一个模块。在熙园我们会在每个月里选择***开展社会情感认知活动，帮助孩子们学习情绪的表达以及管理。在这样的角色扮演、相关情绪手工制作的活动里，孩子们明白了情绪和表达是一种需要，也帮助他们学会发泄、调整情绪的方法。让抽象难以理解的情绪变成孩子们看得到、摸得着的手工，让SEL的学习贯穿在我们整个幼儿园学习生活中。

Education is a complex process and learning is not only for children. So far, the most beautiful April in Xiyuan campus has ended. Our Gumi will continue learning and thriving here for the rest of the year with laughter and tears.

教育是一个复杂的过程，学习也不只是孩子的事情。至此，冠萃熙园校区***美的四月结束。剩下的时间，萃宝们继续在这里学习成长，在这里欢笑流泪。
